It was November 17, 1975, when the first minutes were recorded of the Black Diamond Historical Society, although we know the society founders began meeting before this date.

In early 1975 there was a young retiree who was encouraged to do something about his passion for Black Diamond history and his dreams of preserving it. So he stopped gazing at the mountain and did something about it. (more…)
