ThibautOh, how I would love to spend a day with my great-great-granduncle, Leander Thibaut. He has been gone for almost a century, and I have so many questions I want to ask him.

I’ve researched documents, articles, and government records, but those things don’t tell the whole story, do they? They don’t tell us about his character or personality nor do they explain why he made the choices he made in his life.

From the information I’ve been able to gather in my research, I can only share names, dates, and places, so that’s what I’ll try to do. For the rest we have only our imagination. (more…)
