The Christmas tree at the Black Diamond Museum.

Sponsored by the Black Diamond Mine Council, a community Christmas tree will be the big attraction in that camp on Saturday evening, December 23.

The sum of $400 has been donated by the business men and company employees of the camp to be expended in making the entertainment a success, and arrangements have been made with Santa Claus to be there that night with a big bag of presents for every kiddie in the camp.

The mine council appointed a committee consisting of Supt. J.J. Jones, A.W. Gray, and A.J. Brown to arrange details of the affair and this committee has turned the program over to a committee of twelve ladies who will have entire charge of the tree. (more…)
