H.J. Elliott is alternate chairman with Manager of Mines Green of the Central Council, having been elected to that position by the employee representatives in the council. He is a miner at Burnett.

H.J. Elliott is alternate chairman with Manager of Mines Green of the Central Council, having been elected to that position by the employee representatives in the council. He is a miner at Burnett.

Nominations by secret balloting were held at all the mines in operation last week. Elections are necessary in half the zones at each mine to fill the places of those councilmen who were chosen by the employee representatives in the first mine councils as the short-term men. Their places are now being filled by elected representatives secretly voted on by the employees only.

If you have any doubt about the method of voting, or the choice of nominees open to you to choose from, or what one you belong in, don’t hesitate to ask any committeeman, or officer, you can find.

Don’t let doubt or indecision prevent your voting. Following are the names of those nominated for the elections this week.

Black Diamond

Zone B.—Miners on big seam on 8th and 9th levels:
A. Booth, E. Haines, and M.A. Johnson

Zone C.—Miners on big seam on 10th and 11th levels:
H.J. Button and A.W. King

Zone D.—Inside haulage men:
L.W. Emery, John Bryant, and Frank Roberts

Zone F.—Inside men not timber men or haulage men or miners:
