The regular mine council meetings were held last week according to schedule at Burnett on Tuesday; Black Diamond, Wednesday; Newcastle, Thursday, and Issaquah on Friday night of last week. Mr. Green, Mr. Irelan, and Mr. Lindsey attended all the meetings. Mr. Moore attended the meetings at Black Diamond and Issaquah.

The newly elected employee representatives were present and took their places; the selected representatives retiring. These committees now consist of an equal number of elected representatives and selected representatives.

There will be an election in May and the selected representatives now on the committees will at that time be replaced by elected representatives to take office on June 1, after which the entire list of committeemen will be men who have been elected by secret vote of the employees.

The installation period will be behind us and the committees will be in final shape and the plan in full operation on a “fifty-fifty” basis as between employees and management.
