The pool temperature was a toasty 86 degrees. It was so clean you could have spotted a bug walking on the bottom at the deep end, and sixty active teenagers did not even begin to make the pool look full.

Last Thursday was the dedication and initiation of the Tahoma Forward Thrust Swimming Pool. It was gratefully received by kids, parents, and school personnel in a half-hour ceremony.

School Supt. Joe Tobin outlined the ups and downs leading to its completion, including the number of times that Tahoma had been told they were eligible to participate in the Forward Thrust program and then the years they were notified they were not eligible. (more…)
