Two local teams will play for $45 a side at lively mining camp

A baseball game will be played in Black Diamond Sunday, August 9, upon the outcome of which the miners of that lively camp will bet a lot of money.

The players of the two teams have tossed $5 each into the hat, making a purse of $90 that will go to the winning team. Walter Wilkinson is the leader of one team and McBlain is the leader of the other. (more…)
