Public Works Superintendent Dan Del Santo submitted a draft water conservation plan during the April 16 meeting.

The water conservation plan was drafted as a result of the Water Use Efficiency Act of 1989. Under the act it is required to have a water conservation plan included in all water system plans.

Black Diamond’s current plan is divided into three stages: voluntary, mandatory, and rationing. Since a large amount of water is used during the summer months, the water conservation plan is primarily effective between June 1 through September 30. (more…)

In recognition of the fine showing made during the last season by the camp’s second division team, known as the Black Diamond Briquets, we herewith present the picture of the booters whose record speaks for itself.

Preliminary plans have been completed for the Black Diamond Senior Housing/Community Center project.

The King County Council has allocated $115,000 from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to proceed with the first stage of the project.

Those funds, which were requested by the King County Housing Authority and the City of Black Diamond, become available after July 1, 1987. (more…)
