Got your bag of marbles, sore thumb, and finger, from practicing to win the big game in the local area tournament? Boys and girls were eligible to play the game sponsored by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1949.
The “mig” shooters played in schoolyards, streets, alleys, sidewalks, and sometimes lines drawn in the dirt. Sons and daughters practiced and practiced. In the early years, marbles by the bag were cheaper by the dozen, and when you lost most of your marbles being the loser in the game… well you get the drift.
